Horizontal Bright Beer Storage & Maturation Tanks
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A Horizontal Bright Beer Tank (Horizontal BBT) is a pressure-bearing food-grade Stainless steel tank installed horizontally with glycol cooling jacket, which is key equipment before beer packaging.
Its tank body is placed horizontally with low overall height, ideal for breweries with limited workshop ceiling height. Compared with vertical tanks of the same volume, it requires larger floor space yet is easier to install. With 304/316L sanitary stainless steel inner vessel and pressure-resistant structure, it is fitted with glycol cooling jacket, CO₂ port, sampling port, safety valve, CIP spray ball and other fittings.
Fermented beer is pumped into this tank for low-pressure maturation under controlled low temperature. Yeast and sediments settle down to clarify beer, while carbon dioxide is dissolved for carbonation to stabilize flavor. It serves as buffer storage before bottling or kegging.

Core Structure
Horizontal inner vessel: Food grade 304/316L stainless steel, in direct contact with beer.
Cooling jacket: Glycol cooling jacket for low temperature maturation and storage.
Fittings: CO₂ inlet, sampling port, pressure gauge, safety relief valve, CIP spray ball.
Optional: Sight glass, manhole, level sensor.

Functions
· Low-temperature maturation & clarification
· Beer carbonation
· Pressurized buffer storage
Applicable Industries
Craft breweries, commercial breweries, brewpubs

Simplified Working Flow
Fermented beer transferred into horizontal bright tank → Cooled by glycol jacket → Low-temperature maturation, sedimentation and carbonation →
CO₂ pressurized storage → Discharge to bottling/kegging line.

Bright Wine Tank: Complete SEO Guide for Modern Winery Storage, Clarification & Conditioning Systems
Introduction
Horizontal Bright Beer Tanks, commonly referred to as BBTs, are essential storage vessels used in modern craft breweries for the fermentation, maturation, and conditioning of beer. Available in various capacities such as 1000L, 2000L, 3000L, and 5000L, these tanks are designed to provide efficient storage, optimal temperature control, and high-quality beer production.
BBTs are widely favored in both small craft breweries and large industrial setups due to their versatility and reliability. Unlike vertical fermenters, horizontal bright beer tanks offer enhanced contact between beer and cooling surfaces, ensuring uniform temperature distribution and consistent carbonation levels.

Key Benefits of Horizontal BBTs:
·
Precise temperature control for beer maturation
·
·
Enhanced carbonation retention
·
·
Efficient use of brewery floor space
·
·
Easy cleaning and maintenance due to sanitary design
·
·
Suitable for a wide range of beer styles, including ales, lagers, stouts, and IPAs
·
A Craft Beer Unitank is a multi-functional vessel that can serve as both a fermentation tank and a bright beer storage tank. The unitank concept simplifies brewery operations by combining fermentation and maturation in a single tank. This reduces the need for multiple vessels, minimizes beer transfer, and preserves beer quality.
Horizontal unitanks are particularly effective for:
·
Bright beer conditioning before packaging
·
·
Carbonation through CO₂ injection
·
·
Cold storage of finished beer
·
·
Monitoring beer clarity and quality
·
Applications in Craft Breweries:
·
Small to medium-sized craft breweries
·
·
Pilot brewing systems for new recipes
·
·
Large-scale breweries requiring flexible storage solutions
·

Cylindrical body with horizontal orientation
·
·
Conical or rounded ends to facilitate sediment collection
·
·
Cooling jacket for precise temperature control
·
·
Pressure relief valve and CO₂ injection port
·
·
Sanitary valves for beer transfer and sampling
